MediaFire Central
DIGITAL BROADCAST'S MediaFire Central integrates Digital Broadcast's MediaFire Video Servers with MediaFire Automation, Automated Scheduled Record and MediaFire Remote Client software to give you the ability to control multiple stations from a single control site. The result minimizes the equipment and labor costs required to run individual stations on site.
With MediaFire Central each remote station has MediaFire Ingest and Playout video server capability. Media is transferred to the Ingest video server via satellite or removable media or it can be dubbed directly at the station site. Schedules sent from the central control site are aired automatically.
At the central control site, MediaFire Remote Client provides communication to each station via simple WAN-TCP/IP. MediaFire Automated Scheduled Record provides automatic recording of satellite feeds at the remote stations. The Segmenter Prep Station used to segment syndicated programming received from satellite in its native MPEG format so it can be stored on the server without the degradation of transcoding it to baseband and back. MediaFire Automation interfaces with Traffic and Billing to acquire and prepare on-air schedules that are transferred to the remote stations. As the schedules air, they can be monitored and revised as needed at the central site.
