MediaFireHD Server System Automates Processing from Ingest to Playout
Gainesville, FL, January 9, 2008 – Digital Broadcast has rolled out its new MediaFire HD, providing a specific solution for handling HD syndicated programming from Pathfire™. The system, already operating in numerous stations around the country, completely automates the processing of the HD programming, thus saving stations significant time and cost.
The MediaFire HD automatically and virtually instantaneously transfers HD syndicated programming from the Pathfire™ server. Each syndicated program is automatically prepped frame accurately using the attached metadata. It is ready for playout without requiring format “flipping” or additional processing and with no degradation of the HD material. The HD playout is user-selectable at 1080i or 720p. The programming is played directly to air according to the schedule provided by the station’s traffic and billing system.
The MediaFire HD can expand to full master control automation from automated ingest to playout with sophisticated asset management and Blu-ray archive capabilities.
